Security & Privacy Solutions

ServBeyond Solutions has been instrumental in implementing substantial improvements to the security posture for our customers. Our adaptive security approach has enabled our customers to evolve to a proactive information security posture. A recent success story.

 

ServBeyond Solutions’ team collaborated with a large Maryland state agency’s Cybersecurity team and its Network Managed Services contractor to address the governance, planning, compliance and operational and technical challenges associated with the enterprise implementation of a data loss protection program. The program was designed to meet the requirements of state legislation which required implementation of comprehensive protection mechanisms to safeguard the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for the citizens of Maryland. The program took a phased implementation strategy to minimize user and business impact. 

 

One of the key accomplishments of the program was the successful integration of the DLP technology incorporating Host, Network, Email DLP and encryption modules in the McAfee suite with DLP technology in Office 365 and the OneDrive cloud storage. This allowed a seamless user experience between various end points (laptops, mobile devices) and also allowed better management of user permissions.

 

Through the documentation and lessons learned in this implementation, MDOT has created a roadmap to help the State implement a DLP program for all State agencies.

Cloud Solutions

Our experience with implementing cloud solutions such as Microsoft Office 365, and SharePoint Online helps companies upgrade their capabilities and enhance inter-office / inter-departmental collaboration without disrupting their daily operations or corporate culture. We provide support in the migration of enterprise applications to a cloud-based or -hosted model to optimize resource utilization, increase efficiency of IT investments, and improve interoperability. 

 

Case Study – Enterprise Office 365 Implementation Program ServBeyond Solutions’ team collaborated with a large Maryland state agency’s cloud engineering team to roll out an enterprise collaboration solution. The team performed an assessment study of the IT environment that included LAN, WAN, network security, and infrastructure, and then recommended a phased rollout strategy to implement the new Office 365 services. The team designed an Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) architecture that enabled a single sign-on experience for end users. The solution was optimized to operate in the agency IT environment with high levels of performance, reliability, and maintainability.

 

The benefit to the customer organization was the successful delivery of an organizational transformation objective using cloud technologies to increase organizational productivity. The following services were rolled out: Office Desktop: Standardized MS Office deployment to ensure that the customer is using the same desktop publishing software throughout the enterprise, and that this software remains up to date Skype for Business: Substantially modernize and augment the organization’s ability to collaborate and share information OneDrive for Business: Reduce the amount of on premise storage required by leveraging cloud based storage.
